Bittersweet Goodbyes & Sweet New Beginnings at Wendy’s Daycare

Back-to-school season is always a little bittersweet here at Wendy’s Daycare.

Each year, I watch with so much pride (and yes, a few tears!) as our little graduates head off to start their next chapter in Kindergarten. After years of watching them grow, teaching them to learn, and helping them become their own little people—it’s truly an emotional moment to say goodbye. Every single child who has walked through our doors holds a very special place in my heart and they will always remain a part of my extended family. I cherish the memories we’ve created together and take comfort in knowing they’re ready, confident, and well-prepared due to the pre-K and kindergarten prep we provide.

That’s the “bitter.” Now here’s the “sweet.”

The beauty of this season is also in the fresh beginnings. As our big kids head off to school, we get the joy of welcoming new little ones into our extended daycare family. There’s nothing quite like meeting a brand new baby or toddler and knowing we get to be part of helping them build friendships and develop the foundational skills they’ll carry with them for life.
